Polish Poland : unique wildlife, nature, birdwatching holidays in Poland

European vacations with a difference!

There are regions in Poland, where nature has been preserved almost intact. And one of the most picturesque of these is the region known as the Lubuskie Lake District. The lake-lands and the river valleys of the Obra, Odra and Warta are home to rare plant species and almost all the bird species living in Europe.

We specialize in providing affordable 'ecological' nature holidays in Poland. We offer nature safaris with bird watching and observation of animals in their natural environment. Our tours generally include the Lubuskie Lakeland, the Warta Bird Reserve, and a visit to the nearby Drawa National Park. We provide an English-speaking guide and a typical tour includes all transport within Poland Affordable accomodation on campsites, in log cabins, with Polish families, or in local hotels can be arranged at extra cost.

Trips can also be arranged at any time of the year, but the best time to visit Poland is between March and November. It can get rather cold during the winter in Poland! However, whatever time of year you decide to come, our escorted tours offer a vacation never to be forgotten!

 Warta Wildlife Vacations

Lakes, forests, birds, bats, wild boar and mushrooms

This is an opportunity to enjoy and explore the lakes and forests which cover the Lubuskie lake district. Apart from discovering the animals, birds, mushrooms and wildflowers of the forests and lakes and rivers of the area, you can choose to include a visit to the wonderful Nietoperek bat reserve, pick wild mushrooms, and if it's warm enough you'll be able to swim in the clear waters of lake hidden in the middle of one of our forests. The area is also home to one of Central Europe's largest bird reservations - the Warta Estuary National Park and Slonsk Bird Reservation which is a protected site under the Ramsar Convention.

Around 245 bird species have been identified within 50 kms of our farm. These bird species include many species rarely seen elsewhere in Europe, such as: Corncrake, White Stork, Black Stork, Scarlet Rosefinch, Acquatic Warbler, Whiskered Tern, Hoopoe, Grebes, Shrikes, Black Tailed Godwit, and White Tailed Eagle.

As well as seeing a large number of rare birds you may be lucky enough to come across wild boar, red squirrels, deer, otters, or even the odd bison, during your stay. After a day spent with Polish nature, you could choose to unwind by fishing for carp or by travelling into one of the local towns to a bar or restaurant. We can also hire you a canoe or arrange a guided canoe trip should you wish. We aim to be as flexible as possible and can tailor a trip to suit your requirements at an affordable price.

Accomodation in tents, in a log cabin, with local English speaking families, or in local hotels can be arranged at an affordable price.

We offer day, weekend, or week long tours for individuals and small groups of the best bird watching and wildlife locations in the region. Please contact us for prices and further details.

Special interest tours can also be arranged:

farming / agriculture - historic - second world war - steam railways - Poznan, etc.
