The Lubuskie Lake District of Western Poland is located halfway between Poznan and Berlin. Just over one hours drive from Berlin Schonefeld Airport, you will find the area known as the Lubuskie Lake District, and area consisting of hundreds of lakes and thousands of hectares of old state-owned beech and pine forests. You will be amazed by the unique crystal clear water of the lakes in the region, the lush, unspoilt greenery, and the most densely forested area in Poland. The forests contain an abundance of wild mushrooms, wild berries and wild strawberries. There are wild boar, deer and even Bison. The lakes themselves teem with fresh water fish including prize-winning carp and giant catfish. You can hire fishing equipment, canoes, rowing boats, and bicycles or simply sunbathe on a lakeside beach.
