Polish Cider

Poland is one of the growers and biggest exporters of apples in the European Union, but, rather bizarrely the fabulous drink that is cider is almost unknown. Cider or Cydr or Jabłecznik as the drink is known in Poland has, however, begun to be produced commercially and sold under the ‘Cydr Lubelski’ and ‘Cydr Ignacow’ labels; and has for some years been produced for individual or family consumption on a very small scale by one or two farms in Poland.
