Two pictures of the castle in Posen before the city became part of Poland. Kaiser Wilhelm and Hindenburg at the castle in Posen (Poznan) and the castle itself. Both images date back to 1915.
The castle (Zamek) in Posen was constructed in 1910 by Franz Schwechten for the German Emperor, Wilhelm II. The castle (really more of a palace) was built as his provincial residence and has housed the local government offices of both Germany and Poland.
