If you would like to visit Poland you might need to apply for a visa. A visa cannot be obtained at the Polish border or on the territory of Poland. Since Poland joined the European Union in May 2004, citizens from all the states of the European Union and European Economic Community Organization - Austria, Belgium, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Irish Republic, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, United Kingdom - may travel to Poland for tourism and business purposes without a visa:


If the planned stay in Poland does not exceed 90 days and provided that their intended stay is not for the purpose of engaging in paid employment, visitors from the following countries may visit Poland without a visa: Andorra, Argentina, Australia, Bolivia, Brazil, Brunei, Canada, Chile, Costa Rica, Croatia, Hong Kong: holders of "British National (Overseas) Passport" and Hong Kong Special Region Administration Passports, Korea, Ecuador, Honduras, Iceland, Israel, Japan, Malaysia, Mexico, New Zealand, Nicaragua, Panama, Romania, San Marino, Switzerland, USA, Uruguay


A Visa is also not required for holders of United Nations "laissez-passer".

Citizens of all other countries must obtain a visa in order to enter and stay in Poland legally.
