We like trains! And one of our favourite places to visit in Poland is the Znin narrow gauge railway. The railway was built in 1893-1894, connecting Żnin, Wenecja, Biskupin and Rogowo, and then Biskupin and Szelejewo in Kujawsko-Pomorskie. Its track gauge is 600 mm. A total length of 28 km. It was originally built to transport sugar beet, beetroot and other crops, as well as people. Today it functions as a tourist attraction.
In Wenecja there is also a Narrow Gauge Railway Museum, which houses a fine collection of around twenty steam locomotives and numerous other railway related exhibits.
