Kalisz is a city located on the Prosna river in the south-east of the Greater Poland Voivodeship. The current population is near to 100,000 inhabitants. Kalisz forms a conurbation with the nearby towns of Ostrow Wielkopolski and Nowe Skalmierzyce.
