Turek is a small town in the east of the province of Wielkopolskie in Poland.

- The coal fired power stations around Turek produce approximately 8.5% of the electricity in Poland.
- Until relatively recently Turek was served by a narrow gauge railway to Opatówek and a standard gauge railway connecting it with Kalisz. Both have now closed.
